First Time Relase of the Entire Song
Did you know that Rhode Island was the first State to declare it's independence from England? On May 4, 1776 Rhode Island declared it's independence from England. Two months before the other twelve colonies declared their independence. So on May 4, 2026 Rhode Island will celebrate it's 250 Anniversary of separating itself from England. In honor of this momentous occasion the Steve Smith and the Nakeds are releasing their remake of "The Biggest Little State in the Union". This is the first time release of the entire song on all streaming services!

During the summer of 2025 we were asked by Chris Biehler, owner of Forevermore Music to record two Beach Music songs penned by Beach Music Legend, General Johnson. You may remember the General as the band leader of the Chairman of the Board. The songs were submitted for a compilation album entitled "Tribute to the General" The album included eighteen other artists each covering one of the Generals chart busting songs. The Nakeds had the honor and privilege of submitting two songs. On it's release the album went straight to number one on the Beach Music Charts. In honor of this achievement Forevermore Music and Producer Chris Biehler were Awarded 2025's Beach Music's Album of the year. In return the gracious Chris Biehler awarded all nineteen artists this award for there participation in this project. The album can be heard streaming on all Beach Music streaming music platforms. The Nakeds and I can not thank Chris enough for including us on historic Album.

Happy Memorial Day.
Last weekend we had another Friday night off. We did celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with two gigantic shows on Saturday and Sunday. Following tradition on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday it was our traditional Memorial Day Celebration at the greatest beach bar in the universe, The Ocean Mist, Matunuck, RI. A sold old crowd helped us bring in the summer of 2026 last Saturday. The Ocean Mist was busting at the seams. Thanks to all who joined us for another incredible sweat fest at the Ocean Mist! Another tradition continued last Sunday as we celebrateD Memorial Day at Hill's Tavern, Chepachet, RI. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for our outdoor show on Sunday.We were hoping it was going to be our first outdoor show of 2026 at Hill's. Fortunately the weather did not deter anyone from the show. We took it inside and the day was perfect. Hill's Tavern was also busting at the seams! Thanks to all who made our traditional Memorial Day weekend spectacular! Happy Memorial Day!
Believe or not it's the last week of May! We end May with two great shows this weekend. Friday night it's our first appearance of 2026 at the Olde Theater Dinner, Coventry, RI. The Olde Theater Dinner offer a phenomenal food menu. So make a dinner reservation early and then join us for cocktails and dancing. On Saturday it's also our first appearance outside at the 133 Club East Providence, RI. Bring your blankets and chairs and meet us in the parking lot for another great night at the 133. The show starts at 8:00p. The show at 133 is Rain or Shine. We will move inside if the weather doesn’t cooperate! Should be another great weekend!

2025 Twenty Five Years as The Official Band of Narragansett Beer!
"IT WAS TWENTY YEARS AGO TODAY" Narragansett Brewing asked the band to play. We are very proud that Steve Smith and the Nakeds has been and still are the official band of Narragansett Beer. We can't thank Gansett enough for letting us be a part of their growing process since 2005 when they made the move to bring Narragansett Beer home to it's roots. The other night I was scanning the hundreds of movies available to me from my cable service. After a lengthy search I decided to revisit the Greatest Beer Run Ever. For those of you who haven't seen this movie yet, it's time to check it out.
Again my great friend Peter Farrelly chose another one of our songs to be placed in the Apple TV release, "The Greatest Beer Run Ever". We are honored, blessed and humbled that Peter would once again choose a Nakeds' song for this movie. "That's Alright" from our first Album, "Coming To Theatre Near You", is featured in "The Greatest Beer Run Ever" The film released on September 30, 2022 on Apple TV. The Movie features, Zac Efron, Russell Crowe and Bill Murray. Beer Run is directed by academy award winner and my friend Peter Farrely. We can't thank Peter enough for giving us this great honor and adding to the bands legacy! Check out the movie on Apple TV. It's just as fantastic as the first time I watched it!

After a year of brewing our Golden Anniversary Ale., Gansett let us know they will not be brewing any more of our beer. We can't thank Narragansett Beer enough for helping us celebrate our 50th Anniversary by giving us our own beer. Just a reminder. 2025 is the 20th Anniversary of Narragansett Beer's return to Rhode Island. It is also our 20th Anniversary of being the official band of Narragansett Beer! You never know? Maybe a beer commemorating our 20th year a representing Gansett.
