Hot Fun in The Summertime!

It was the last weekend in August and we made it through four fantastic shows! It all started on Wednesday in Bristol, RI. Last Wednesday we performed at Blithewold Manor for the final show of their Summer Concert Series. Although we have performed for a few private function at Blithewold, we have never performed outside for their concert series. The show started at 6:00p and was sold out. The crowd of five hundred brought their own blankets and chairs to pack the lawn overlooking beautiful Narragansett Bay in Bristol last Wednesday. Friday was our first appearance at the Bishop Hill Tavern, Johnston, RI. Friday was another outdoor show. The weather was perfect and the Tavern was packed. Many grabbed a bite to eat from the Tavern's excellent menu and a Gansett making it a most enjoyable evening! Saturday was our evening show at the Rathskeller, Charlestown, RI. The show started at 8:00p. Again the weather was beautiful as blankets and chairs filled the down back area. The greatest french fries in the universe and Gansetts were flowing all evening! Sunday we returned to The Tavern On III. Formerly the Tavern On The Hill, West Greenwich, RI. Little did we know that Dupuis Oil company booked their annual summer outing on Sunday because The Nakeds were performing at the Tavern. So we walked into an already packed Pavilion. Again the weather was perfect. Our fans only made it better when arriving for the three o'clock show. The whole afternoon was awesome! In fact the week was awesome!
Labor Day Weekend!
It's had to believe it's already Labor Day Weekend! It should be another fantastic weekend for the Nakeds. On Friday it's our second appearance at Joanna's, Somers CT. Our first appearance there was to a sold out crowd. We also met a lot old friends from the Hartford area who have followed the band for years. It's suggested that you make a reservation for Friday night’s show which is a dinner show. Great food and ice cold Gansetts this Friday night! Saturday it's our annual Labor day bast at Hill's Tavern! The show is an early show outside. Come join us for burgers on the grill and ice cold Gansetts at 3:00p. Sunday, as usual, it's our annual Labor Day Sweat Fest at the greatest beach bar in the universe the Ocean Mist, Matunuck, RI. Come grab a bite to eat and some ice cold Gansetts. just a heads up. The show starts at 3:00p and will end at 7:00p to allow time for the Sunday Night band to get ready for the evening show. this is a ticketed show. Tickets available at oceanmist.net. The Nakeds and I are looking forward to another great Labor Day Weekend!

2025 Twenty Five Years as The Official Band of Narragansett Beer!
"IT WAS TWENTY YEARS AGO TODAY" Narragansett Brewing asked the band to play. We are very proud that Steve Smith and the Nakeds has been and still are the official band of Narragansett Beer. We can't thank Gansett enough for letting us be a part of their growing process since 2005 when they made the move to bring Narragansett Beer home to it's roots. You can now visit the facility at 271 Tockwotton Street, Providence, RI. The Nakeds and I look forward to promoting our favorite brew for another 20 years!

The other night I was scanning the hundreds of movies available to me from my cable service. After a lengthy search I decided to revisit the Greatest Beer Run Ever. For those of you who haven't seen this movie yet, it's time to check it out.
Again my great friend Peter Farrelly chose another one of our songs to be placed in the Apple TV release, "The Greatest Beer Run Ever". We are honored, blessed and humbled that Peter would once again choose a Nakeds' song for this movie. "That's Alright" from our first Album, "Coming To Theatre Near You", is featured in "The Greatest Beer Run Ever" The film released on September 30, 2022 on Apple TV. The Movie features, Zac Efron, Russell Crowe and Bill Murray. Beer Run is directed by academy award winner and my friend Peter Farrely. We can't thank Peter enough for giving us this great honor and adding to the bands legacy! Check out the movie on Apple TV. It's just as fantastic as the first time I watched it!

After a year of brewing our Golden Anniversary Ale., Gansett let us know they will not be brewing any more of our beer. We can't thank Narragansett Beer enough for helping us celebrate our 50th Anniversary by giving us our own beer. Just a reminder. 2025 is the 20th Anniversary of Narragansett Beer's return to Rhode Island. It is also our 20th Anniversary of being the official band of Narragansett Beer! You never know? Maybe a beer commemorating our 20th year a representing Gansett.
